Talk About a Step Up

So for those who don’t know who Evan Handler is, he played Harry Goldenblatt, Charlotte’s love interest in the final season of Sex and The City. He played a dorky guy, who somehow managed to bag Charlotte (Kristen Davis) in the last season.

It was an okay role, but nothing like his current one.

He currently plays Charlie Rumkle, a literary agent in the new Showtime show Californication. In the seventh episode of the season, he has the opportunity to have a three-some with his wife and his secretary.

Now in my opinion, this is a serious upgrade.

You Tube OJ Press Conference

My friend Evan sent me this link to one of the OJ press conferences from last week, check out the radom guy in the background and see how he chimes in.

This is one of the funniest videos I've seen recently.

Californication

David Duchovny’s new show is definitely a hit and Showtime has another hit show to add to their roster. There was a scene in last week’s episode where Hank Moody (his character) is talking to his ex-wife and he asked her “in our past life, was I mean,” she responded by saying, “you weren’t mean, no, but you can be pretty hard on people.”

She looked at him with such disappointment when she said it.

And I thought to myself, this is so sad. SHOULDN’T WE EXPECT A LOT OUT OF PEOPLE?

ESPECIALLY THE ONES WE CARE ABOUT?

On a secondary rant, what is the world coming to, a place where we expect such little from each other? But I guess that explains why we elected the current president and why our country is becoming a second rate country.

What I perceive to be “My America” is definitely not what America is all about.

Curb Your Enthusiasm

If you haven’t seen the first two episodes, catch them on HBO Demand, Larry David explores topics like sexual cakes and masturbating in your friend’s home.

These episodes just may save HBO’s original programming slate.
